Database Engineer (New York City)

We are seeking a Database Engineer to join a niche team responsible for designing, supporting, and administering distributed databases for both strategic and tactical trading and research initiatives.
• Will work closely with development groups on schema, index, and query design to support application development.
• Will lead performance monitoring and fine tuning for optimal performance and collaborate with financial experts and software engineers to design data models.
• Using a combination of Windows and UNIX based applications, including Microsoft SQL Server, as well as several proprietary in-house file and database systems distributed over multiple sites, you will take ownership of a wide variety of technical projects.

Interaction Designer (Information Architect), Online Social Media, NY City

PeopleSoft Solutions Architect (Nationwide Need)

• Will be working with a Solutions Company that sells both products and consulting to PeopleSoft customers.
• Candidate must have Very Strong PeopleTools skills and very good communication skills.
Other than PeopleTools skills, over 50% of any development work will be pure Web Development that will involve HTML, JavaScript, XSLT and Ajax. So having any of these skills is highly desired, but we are willing to train the right person where there are gaps in skill set.
