Business Intelligence Report Writer (NY City)

Responsible for creating and managing reports within the business intelligence platform. This position will work with BI Architect, Operations, Product Management, Analytics and Executive Staff to fulfill reporting needs of the business. Qualified candidates will have strong quantitative, data visualization and organizational skills. The ability to handle multiple projects and work as a part of a team is necessary.

The BI Report Writer is expected to:
• Translate reporting requirements (Excel samples, visual mockups, requirement documents) into BI reports.
• Assist in report validation.
• Manage BI objects.
• Manage reporting request queue.
• Create and maintain dashboards.
• Schedule report delivery.
• Build and run custom reports as needed.
• Assist analytic team member with interpretation or report outputs.

Required experience and knowledge:
• Minimum of 2 years experience creating reports in leading BI platform (Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Cognos, etc).

The QA Analyst's responsibilities will include:
• Creating new test plans for new product features
• Developing new methods to test existing product features
• Participate in the execution of test plans
• Document and review bug reports and other test results

Qualifications:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are a MUST
• MUST have working knowledge of Windows and UNIX/Linux including the shell and common tools (tar, gzip, etc.)
• Experience in Software Quality Assurance (or some similar analysis role, such as technical support or on site software support)
• BS or equivalent work experience

Desired Skills:
