Application Support Specialist

Overview:
Well established Nassau County Firm seeks an Application Support Specialist to Maintain and Enhance the Firm’s Line-of-Business Applications. This person will Liaise with Business Users and Managers to Understand Business Processes and Identify Solutions to Meet Technology Needs and Enhance Systems Functionality. Experience in a Legal / Law Firm Environment and Current Experience with Commercial Software is a deciding plus. This is Not a Networking, Help Desk or Technical Support Role; we are looking for a Well Rounded Applications Support Professional.
Responsibilities:
·       Ensuring the Availability and Integrity of All Line-of-Business Application Systems
·       Researching, Recommending, and Implementing New and Improved Technology Features
·       Ensuring Timely and Effective Application Incident Management and Problem Resolution.
Requirements:
·       Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related area and at least three years of Information Technology experience
·       Must have excellent Problem Solving Skills, knowledge of Tools and Techniques to Recognize, Anticipate, and Resolve Operational and Process Problems related to Key Applications
·       Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks so that deadlines are met
·       Will have current experience working with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Windows Servers and Strong MS Office Skills and Basic knowledge of MS SQL Server Database Administration along with an understanding of Key Networking Technologies and Protocols, including TCP/IP, FTP, DNS, and DHCP and a working knowledge of Microsoft File Servers, Including Shares, NTFS Permissions, and Volume Shadow Copies
·       Experience in a Legal Environment related to Healthcare is Ideal; the ideal candidate will have Current Experience working with Commercial Legal Software, ideally ProLaw or Artiva or AbacusLaw
·       Absolutely must have Strong English verbal and written communication skills and the ability to rapidly learn new software applications and business models and understand new technologies, features, and options. Must have the ability to communicate technical information to both Technical and Non-Technical Users at all levels

Network/Systems Engineer

Overview:
·       Responsible for Providing Technical Leadership over the IT Infrastructure of a Major Firm in Nassau County. 
·       Will Expert Guidance and Manage the Firm’s Enterprise Operating Systems, Networks, Servers, Exchange Environment, SAN, and VMware.

Responsibilities:
·       Overall Management of Network and Network Operating Systems: Servers, SAN’s, VMware, Windows, File and Print Services, Domain Controllers, Exchange, Network Devices, VLAN’s, Switches and Routers, Active Directory, IP Addressing, WAN and LAN Services, Aruba Wireless Network, Network Monitoring and Reporting, Data Center Capacity Management and Planning, Security Management and Reporting, Disaster Recovery, Backups and Recovery.
·       Lifecycle Management of Hardware, Software, HP Network Infrastructure, and Network Services
·       Process and Procedural Documentation; Produce Status and Activity Reports
·       Monitor, Perform and Troubleshoot Systems Backup Using Backup Exec
·       Provide Escalated Support to Level I/II Staff
·       Manage Internal Projects as needed

Requirements:
·       3-5 Years Minimum Experience Management and Administration of “Enterprise IT”
·       Experience with Aruba Wireless, VMware, Symantec Backup Exec 2010/2012
·       Strong Organizational Skills
·       Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills with the ability to Develop Effective Working Relationship Across all Levels of the firm

Software Developer

Overview:
The Software Developer is responsible for Full Lifecycle Development, including Modeling, Governance, Warehousing, Integration and Delivery Aspects of Web Based Applications. Also responsible for Report Development, SQL Development, and System Administration in our Flexible and Fast Paced Environment.. 

Responsibilities:
·         Software Development:
·       Develops new Web and Windows Applications and Services using .Net and SQL technologies.
·       Collaborates with team members and end users to develop application systems and related business processes.
·       Develops stored procedures, functions and other objects to support software solutions
·       Performs unit testing and assists with troubleshooting existing systems.
·       Maintains day to day business processes/ bug fixes in supported systems.
·       Completes software projects by developing and executing software testing components, developing automation solutions throughout software development life cycle to identify issues.
·       Performs test case development, tests results analysis, defects reporting, requirements review, test case review, code review and software architecture review.

·       Working Relationships / User Interface:

Requirements:
·       Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field; Advanced Degree a plus
·       Minimum of 3 years working as a programmer utilizing related technologies or in developing applications required; experience in financial industry preferred
·       Will have a solid core knowledge of Software Design and Architecture
·       Must have current experience with C#.Net, ADO.Net, SQL, XML, ASP.Net, IIS, and Web Services, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Relational Database Concepts (Microsoft SQL Server and Stored Procedures)
·       Experience with PowerShell, LINQ, Telerik, Infragistics, Agile, TDD, WCF, MVC, MVVM, Visual Basic, AJAX, HTML5, Silverlight Technologies, Crystal Reports and experience with Integrating With Third Party Systems are Deciding Plusses / Nice to Haves
·       Will have current abilities in the following:

AS/400 Computer Operator (Plainview, NY 11803)


AS/400 Computer Operator

We are seeking an experienced Computer Operator for an operations position in our data center.  The candidate will be responsible for making sure all jobs and tasks are completed on a daily basis for all corporate and store operations.  This position will report to the operations supervisor.  Must be reliable, accurate and dedicated to ensuring their work is completed to the required standards. Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to new technologies and processes as they arise. 
·       Be flexible to cover shifts when others are out

·       The role primarily focuses around AS/400 operations:
·       Run jobs and commands from a menu, job scheduler and command line:
o   Print reports for payroll.
o   Print checks for payroll and AP.
o   Print Employee discounts.
·       Check control strings to verify job completion.
·       Check QSYSOPR messages for AS/400 job completion.
·       Run backups including GO SAVE 21.
·       Must have familiarity with Windows Operating Systems:
·       Interact with SQL servers to verify and run jobs.
·       Work with store servers to resolve
·       Windows and POS issues.

Must be flexible in shift scheduling and open to working early or late hours, and on some holidays.
·       5 days (shifts) across the week
·       Weekdays 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm, 11am-9:30pm, 3pm-11am
·       Weekends 7am-1:30pm
·       Work some holidays
