.Net Application Developer (Farmingdale, NY 11735)


Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced .Net Application Developer to work in our Corporate HQ which is located in Farmingdale, NY. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working within s similar role within the Financial Services Industry.

Requirements:
·       Must have current experience with C#, ASP.Net, VB.Net, .Net Frameworks 2.0/3.5/4.0, Visual Studio 2005 / 2008 and Database Development / Design Skills
·       Must have experience with the complete software development life cycle and full life cycle project management methodologies.
·       Will have a demonstrated ability to define, analyze and translate functional and non-functional business requirements.
·       Must have current experience with MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, MS Outlook, and Crystal Reports
·       BA/BS in Computer Science or related and a minimum of 3 years of experience; ideally in the Financial Services Industry

Skills Needed:
·       Strong Project Management Skills with a successful track record of completing multiple projects through the complete project life cycle,
·       Current experience in code review, Testing & Debugging (Defect Analysis).
·       Ability to multi-task, prioritize and engage productively on multiple projects simultaneously.
·       Ability to ask probing questions to understand business requirements and provide feedback to Business Users on the implications of requests.
·       Ability to balance application development and application support needs while addressing change requests, issues and defects in a timely manner.
·       Experience in multiple technologies and design techniques as well as experience working across environments with multiple operating systems / infrastructure
·       Must have excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences including Developers, Partners, Senior Technology and Business Management

Business Process Improvement Leader/Analyst (Black Belt)

Overview:
As a member of the Core BPM Team, will be responsible for leading business transformation projects, including facilitation of problem-solving workshops, utilizing Lean Six Sigma and Change Management Methodologies. The successful candidate has excellent Change Management and Facilitation Skills, Solid Lean Application Experience, Mentoring/Coaching Experience and Excellent Communication Skills. 

Responsibilities:
·         Responsible for complex business process improvement analysis, design, and implementation.
·       Will use the highest level of understanding of an organization's business processes. Focus is on Process Analysis,  Re-Engineering and Change Management, with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment.
·       Creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and works closely with the process owners to communicate and implement these changes to impacted Business Systems Teams. Recommends and Facilitates Quality Improvement Efforts.
·       May lead Re-Engineering Team and act as Project Manager in some cases. 
·       Leads BPM projects (including Kaizen events and/or Work Outs) across the enterprise (excludes manufacturing), utilizing Lean Six Sigma Methodology and tools.  Strong project management necessary.
·       Provides coaching, mentoring and training to our employees on Lean Six Sigma application, including change management and facilitation.
·       Works with the teams to develop data collection plans and leads data analysis.  Working knowledge of Minitab recommended.
·       Meets with business owners to understand and document current state processes and pain points to scope potential BPM projects.
·       Works with business leaders and project teams to develop, capture and report KPIs. 

Requirements:
·         BS/BA in related filed (i.e., Engineering, Quality, etc.)
·       Lean Six Sigma Certified (BB or MBB) is preferred. Must have at least 5 years’ experience in Leading Lean Six Sigma Projects, Kaizen Events and in leading Large Business Transformation Projects (e.g., ERP, Supply & Demand Planning, PLM)
·       Five plus years experience with proven practice of Lean, Six Sigma and Project Management Approaches, Tools and Phases of The Project Life-Cycle
·       Problem solving and root cause identification skills
·       Statistical Skills using Quality Tools (Pareto Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, C&E, etc.). Will have solid Excel, PowerPoint, & Word skills
·       Good Mentoring and Coaching of others in Lean Six Sigma and Change Management Applications
·       Absolutely Must have Strong Communication Skills, both verbally and written
·       Excellent Active Listening Skills; Strong Analytic and Decision Making Abilities
·       Experience & Knowledge of Change Management Principles, Methodologies & Tools. Should have experience in Training Design and Adult Education
·       Solid Data Analysis Skills and Strong Facilitation Skills
·       Will have solid Executive Presence; ability to work effectively at all levels in an organization
·       Must be a Team Player with the ability to work with and through others; will have the ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
·       Consulting and/or Manufacturing experience in Consumer Products is preferred

Support & Configuration Responsibilities
·       Troubleshoots technical issues related to software and configuration
·       Creates workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensures issues are resolved in a timely fashion
·       Escalates urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources
·       Performs Analysis of task history to prevent/eliminate recurring Support tasks
·       Creates configuration specification and data edit impact analysis documents used to configure software
·       Generates/disseminates configuration reports to IT & outside staff outlining configuration changes
·       Documents support/configuration items for the IT Policies and Procedures Library

Testing Responsibilities
·       Develop and maintain test plans related to system functionality and newly introduced system modifications
·       Execute regression tests, functional tests and data tests
·       Document quality assurance practices
·       Report, track and determine priority of reported bugs
·       Generate/distribute configuration reports where appropriate
·       Perform post implementation follow up
·      Initiate new tasks for issues on existing live programs reported during testing
·       Create/Update implementation plan items during the lifecycle of the task/project where more than one IT department is required for deployment
·       Create procedures/provide training as new system elements are introduced
·       Document all pertinent communications by way of copy to the task/project folder or task database as appropriate

Well established Nassau County Legal Services Firm seeks an Application Support Specialist to Maintain and Enhance the Firm’s Line-of-Business Applications. This person will Liaise with Business Users and Managers to Understand Business Processes and Identify Solutions to Meet Technology Needs and Enhance Systems Functionality. Candidate Must have Current Experience in a Legal / Law Firm Environment and Current Experience with Commercial Legal Software. Experience with ProLaw Software is Strongly Preferred. This is Not a Help Desk or Technical Support Role; we are looking for a Well Rounded Applications Support Professional from the Legal Industry

Responsibilities:
·       Ensuring the Availability and Integrity of All Line-of-Business Application Systems
·       Researching, Recommending, and Implementing New and Improved Technology Features
·       Ensuring Timely and Effective Application Incident Management and Problem Resolution.
 
Requirements:
·       Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related area and at least three years of Information Technology experience
