Systems Engineer (New Rochelle, NY 10801)


Systems Engineer

Overview:
·       Responsible for providing Third-Level Support for Desk-Side, Incoming Help Desk Inquiries via phone and email, and Network Configuration for a Large-Scale Multi-Site Operation in Westchester County, NY.
·       Will have one or more of the following Certifications: MCITP, MCSA, MCSE and/or CCNA

Responsibilities:
·       Windows Server Configuration and Maintenance (Group Policies, Scripting, Permissions)
·       Perform Basic Configuration of  Network Infrastructure (Switches, Virtual Environment)
·       Handle incoming inquiries to the help desk via phone, email and at desk side; serve as escalation point for resolution of issues on Windows Platforms (XP / 7 / 8) and in Network environments
·       Provide support for any/all hardware and software issues in the environment
·       Responsible for resolution and assistance to standard supported applications: MS Office, Browser Based Programs, Antivirus and other supported Proprietary Applications and Systems
·       Manage Internal Projects
·       Provide Documentation of Processes and Procedures
·       Produce Status and Activity Reports as needed

Requirements:
·       Must be currently working as a Systems/Network Administrator or Engineer; at least 4 years of experience is preferred
·       Will have one or more of the following Certifications: MCITP, MCSA, MCSE and/or CCNA
·       Must have strong, current experience with Windows Server 2003/2008, Exchange/Outlook Configuration and Administration along with an In-Depth Knowledge of Windows OS XP /2007 and Microsoft Office 2007/ 2010
·       Must be able to work independently as a sole resource for troubleshooting, diagnosing and problem solving of issues in personal computer operations, peripheral device management and connectivity to LANs and WANs
·       Will ensure the optimization of Personal Computer Operating Systems; Apply OS Patches, and Troubleshoot Communication Devices.
·       Will be familiar with troubleshooting TCP/IP Protocols, DNS, WINS and DHCP.
·       Excellent organizational skills, customer service skills and prioritization/follow-up skills are a must
·       Absolutely Must have Excellent English Verbal and Written Communication Skills

This is a permanent, full time position.
