Overview:
·       AS/400 Developer needed at the Headquarters of a Regional Firm located in Melville, Long Island, NY.
·       Must have strong, current AS/400 AND Cobol skills. Examples of applications to be developed and enhanced are: order processing, invoicing, inventory, promotion generation, etc...
·       This is a mixed hardware environment and in addition to enhancements, adjustments, fixes and modifications to the AS/400, Cobol programs, the Developer will be able to expand his/her skills into other areas which will provide an excellent opportunity to grow and expand technology skills.
·       Must be able to adapt to new systems, changing environments and open to learning new technologies; a consulting background may be beneficial in this aspect.
·       This is NOT an RPG programming position; candidates without current AS/400 and Cobol will not be considered.

I had consistently lead the Woodbury office to its position as the #1 Office in the nation. Prior to that, I served 9 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. While in the Military, I received a full scholarship to college through the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program.
