API Integration Engineer (New York, NY)

Overview:
  • This is a Golden Opportunity for an experienced Designer / Implementor of Well-Crafted Web APIs. Will Integrate Systems through the use of Modern APIs. There is Ample Opportunity to Communicate with other Developers and Project Managers to Coordinate Complex Integrations and to Contribute to Open Source Projects
  • Will Develop Code in Multiple Languages, Leveraging Various Data-Storage and Processing Systems.
  • Build Containerized Applications and set-up CI/CD Pipelines. Will have a clear understanding of Cluster Orchestration
Responsibilities
  • Design Solutions using API-Driven Style, Leveraging Microservice Architecture.
  • Code well-tested and secure solutions using multiple languages (currently: Node and Go).
  • Communicate with internal and external communities to help integrate complex systems.
  • Contribute by submitting features & code to the open source projects. Share our good work with technical & open source communities.
  • Enable our diverse, inclusive & customer-centric culture.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience; Advanced Degree a plus
  • Although there is no requirement for a specific Programming Language, there is a requirement for a commitment to learn new things, grow and evolve your technical skills
  • Should have knowledge of and experience with technologies such as: Docker, Microservices, APIs, Node, Go, Jenkins, Kubernetes, etc…
  • At least 3 years of Development experience with at least two programming languages.
  • Strong, current experience in Developer Evangelism and API Integrations
  • Current experience with DevOps Environments, Tooling, and Services​
  • Must have a sense of intellectual curiosity, a burning desire to learn and adopt new technologies
  • Will be self-driven, and actively looks for ways to contribute, and knows how to get things done
  • Is obsessed with Designing Developer-Friendly RESTful APIs
  • Believes that good software development includes good testing, good documentation, and good collaboration
  • Has excellent English communication skills, and cares about working with external and internal Developer Communities
