MUST have strong, current Linux; almost to the point of being a Systems Administrator
Responsibilities will include:
• Creating new test plans for new product features
• Developing new methods to test existing product features
• Participate in the execution of test plans
• Document and review bug reports and other test results
Qualifications:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are a MUST
• MUST have working knowledge of Windows and UNIX/Linux including the shell and common tools (tar, gzip, etc.)
• Experience in Software Quality Assurance (or some similar analysis role, such as technical support or on site software support)
• BS or equivalent work experience
Desired Skills:
• Experience supervising a team strongly preferred
• Familiarity with source control, such as subversion
• Understanding of software development methodologies and techniques
• Knowledge of a scripting language, such as Perl
The analyst will also be expected be expected to support other members of the team in their testing efforts, particularly in the analysis of requirements and reporting of bugs. They will also work with the sales and support teams to verify and document product issues reported in the field.
This is a permanent, full time position.
