Overview:
The
EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) Manger will responsible for the Management
of the Project Planning, Prioritization, Execution and Reporting according to Schedules
and Budgets as well as Defining Project Management Processes and Enforcing those
Standards for all Project Management Activities.
Responsibilities:
·
Organizes,
motivates, and leads a Team of Project Managers on multiple projects consistent
with company performance management processes and methodologies.
·
Oversees
all Programs and Projects managed by Project Management Office. Will step in
and directly manage projects when urgent needs arise.
·
Defines
and Maintains Project Management Processes and Standards for the use of Tools,
Techniques, Templates, and Reporting and Champions the Same. Leverages Internal
Best Practices.
·
Ensures
Alignment of Expectations between Management and Project Teams and Facilitates Project
Management Maturity, Effective Decision Making and Consistency in Project
Results.
·
Drives
quality of the Project Management Process while meeting or exceeding customer
expectations.
·
Responsible
for communication of program and project status to Senior Management, Steering
Team and Project Teams on a regular basis.
·
Implements
continuous improvement processes to enhance project management
efficiency. Attends training, seminars, user groups, and other events and
memberships to maintain knowledge of current trends in project management.
·
Owns
and addresses all Internal and External Audit Items, PCI Compliance Items, and
Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Items as they are related to Projects in the Portfolio.
·
Prepares
cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for projects in the portfolio
and presents same to senior management for functional and budgetary approval.
·
Develops
project plans including timelines and resource allocation and drive team to
adhere to plan.
·
Manages
scope of work; recognizes changes in scope and works with Department Heads to
control scope with focus on closure and successful completions of deliverables.
·
Provides
hands-on project implementation assistance including troubleshooting and
resolving process problems. Assigns appropriate resources as
required.
·
Provides
integration support for acquired and developed systems and strategically plans
for the future for those systems.
·
Provides
accurate estimates to proposed solutions and be accountable for same.
·
Participates
in IT Project Development Meetings and provide input on possible solutions, pit
falls and issues regarding initiative.
·
Participates
in development of new & existing methods and procedures for IT Team.
·
Leads
implementation and integration of COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) applications
into legacy systems
·
Manages
all technical aspects of large cross functional projects including build vs.
buy analysis, software selection, infrastructure requirements and build out,
development and system integrations.
·
Performs
and leads product evaluations and proof of concepts for new technologies.
·
Works
directly with the business and IT team to conceive and implement a solution to
satisfy various business challenges and objectives.
·
Meets
scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely
manner and has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and
techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and
implementing systems.
·
Documents
all systems that are in scope and produces as-is diagrams (current systems) as
well as to-be diagrams (future/planned deployment)
·
Maintains
confidentiality of necessary information.
·
Develops,
coordinates and executes acquisition integration management plans to support
the business.
·
Plans
and organizes integration management activities in conjunction with Integration
Team and senior management, determines organizational structure, personnel,
training needs and other requirements.
·
Reviews
analyses of critical success factors, costs and company initiatives to
determine the progress toward stated goals and objectives.
·
Works
with internal and external customers to identify optimization opportunities,
drives the development of process solutions consistent with business
strategies.
·
Ensures
that management is informed of key operational activities.
·
Facilitates
the implementation of best-demonstrated industry and Company practices and initiatives.
·
Accountable
for documenting of project risk assessments.
·
Manages
all documentation: electronically and hard-copies as related to projects.
·
Participation
in special projects and performs additional duties as required
Requirements:
·
Bachelor’s
Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field is
required; Advanced Degree preferred.
·
PMP
Certification
·
Must
have extensive, current Technology Project Management experience demonstrating
growth in capabilities and responsibilities required. Will have strong
knowledge of IT Project Lifecycle.
·
Must
have at least 3 years of Staff Management experience. Experience with indirect
reports via supervisors or managers highly preferred.
·
Experience
implementing and integrating medium to large complex commercial off the shelf (COTS)
applications required.
·
Strong
leadership, management skills, interpersonal and team building skills required
along with the ability to delegate and think conceptually required. Experience
leading medium to large scale integration projects and project teams required.
·
Will
have the ability to integrate and implement complex software solutions
·
Systems
integration and/or management experience is preferred, as is AS/400 exp.
·
Strong
knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar tools and formal project management
principles required. Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software is
required.
·
Solid
understanding of IT industry (vendors, systems, products, etc.) required.
·
A
valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time are
required.
