Application Support Analyst (Island Park, NY)
Support &
Configuration Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots technical issues related to software and configuration
- Creates workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensures issues are resolved in a timely fashion
- Escalates urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources
- Performs Analysis of task history to prevent/eliminate recurring Support tasks
- Creates configuration specification and data edit impact analysis documents used to configure software
- Generates/disseminates configuration reports to IT & outside staff outlining configuration changes
- Documents support/configuration items for the IT Policies and Procedures Library
Testing
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test plans related to system functionality and newly introduced system modifications
- Execute regression tests, functional tests and data tests
- Document quality assurance practices
- Report, track and determine priority of reported bugs
- Generate/distribute configuration reports where appropriate
- Perform post implementation follow up
- Initiate new tasks for issues on existing live programs reported during testing
- Create/Update implementation plan items during the life cycle of the task/project where more than one IT department is required for deployment
- Create procedures/provide training as new system elements are introduced
- Document all pertinent communications by way of copy to the task/project folder or task database as appropriate
