Business Analyst
Overview:
We are an International Firm, providing Software Solutions
for the Shipping and Logistics Industry. We work hand-in-hand with the world’s
largest Airlines, Freight Forwarders, Ground Transportation, and other firms in
the Freight/Cargo Industry. We are known for Developing and Delivering State of
the Art Software Solutions and for Exploring New Technologies. We are looking
for an Innovative and Passionate Business Analyst who is Self-Motivated and
Driven and who is looking for a Growth Opportunity. You will work closely with
our Development Team, Project Managers and Users to enhance our product line
Responsibilities:
- Gather Requirements and Analyze Business Needs from Users and Customers
- Draft Business Requirements and System Specifications
- Design Test Plans, Write Test Cases and Conduct Software Testing while working closely with the QA and Development Teams
- Provide Customer/User Support. Respond to questions from Users. Review Change Requests and Bug Reports from Users
- Work closely with our Project Managers to identify risks and issues in project plans
- Assess project timelines, ensure that projects are on schedule and escalate delays to the Project Manager
- Attend on-site training and support sessions with Users / Customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related; Advanced Degree a plus
- Must be currently working as a Business Analyst (This is not a Software Testing position but some testing experience is needed)
- Experience working with a Development Team on Enterprise Systems
- The selected Candidate will have current experience with:
- --Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio
- --Issue / Work Time Tracking Systems such as JIRA, TFS, Bugzilla, etc…
- --SQL Server
- --SDLC Concepts
- --Agile/Scrum Methodologies
- Familiarity with Software Development and Programming Languages
- Strong English Oral and Written Communication Skills; must have solid Documentation Skills
- A team player who will be an active participant in company initiatives who can also work as an independent contributor within our deadline driven, fast paced environment
This is a
permanent, full time position; NOT A
